PacSun USA Surf Team Scores Copper at Dakine ISA World Juniors in Panama

Despite not having any surfers in the final heats, the US team did well enough in the qualifying rounds to score a forth place medal. Look for more coverage and photos of the event soon.

PacSun USA Surf Team Heads to Panama

The Surfing America PacSun USA Surf Team will be traveling to Panama to compete at the DaKine ISA World Junior Surfing Championship being held April 14 – 22 in Playa Venao, Panama.

Coached by Ian “Kanga” Cairns and Sean Mattison, America’s best under-eighteen year old surfers will go up against the best in the world. Make sure to follow the live action @http://dakineisawjsc.com/live/

Great Event at the Surfing America Prime East presented by Got Milk? – Ponce Inlet, FL.

Notwithstanding constant threats for rain and little-to-no waves, especially on Sunday (which ended up being the best of the days) – we had an awesome event at the Surfing America Prime Ponce Inlet. A big shout out and thank you goes to the judging team, parents and all the competitors who not only pitched in to help put up the scaffolding, but also kept up a great level of stoke throughout the entire event. I can’t wait to head out east again!

Team USA at China Cup / Hainan Classic

Follow the team as they attend the inaugural Hainan Wanning Riyue Bay International Surfing Festival Presented by Quiksilver. First event is the China Cup featuring four men and two women surfers from the top eight countries. Directly after that event will be a four-star ASP event (Hainan Classic) that features a $95,000 total purse.

Surfing America Takes ISA Judging and Officiating Program to Santa Cruz, CA

The course provides opportunity for anyone interested in learning more about judging criteria and methods used in top surfing competition around the world.
Join Erik Krammer, Surfing America Judging Director, for a globally standardized educational program for the sport of surfing utilizing an extensive judging course manual and interactive DVD which will provide International Level 1 Certification, International and National Registration, and access to the International Judges Exchange Program. Attendees will leave with a course manual and test booklet.
